Michael Agnoli graduated Cum Laude from the State University of New York at Buffalo in 1978 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in mathematics. In 1982, he earned his Master of Architecture degree from Harvard University. Before relocating to Miami Beach, he worked in Cambridge, Massachusetts designing luxury, single-family homes.
In his early years in Miami Beach, Michael utilized his design skills as a project architect with a design-oriented Miami Beach firm. This experience allowed him to work on a number of diverse projects from their initial planning stages through construction. Prior to joining the Swedroe firm in 1993, he also served as project manager for numerous publicly funded governmental and educational projects.
Since joining the firm as Director of Design, and later becoming the first partner, Michael has assumed a leadership role working hand-in-hand with founding partner Robert Swedroe. Among Michael’s responsibilities are developing the initial design concept. In addition, he evaluates the work of the staff’s rapidly advancing professionals on an ongoing basis. He guides the members toward peak performance, assisting them, in the process, to realize their potential in their specific areas of specialization.
Michael Agnoli’s highly disciplined leadership techniques, faculty for keen rational problem-solving, intelligent interaction with clients and natural design talent serve as the perfect complement to Robert Swedroe’s hand-on management style.
