Shaping vast amounts of barren real estate into gorgeous, thriving communities, Swedroe Architecture has had tremendous success working with visionary developers to create, plan and execute large-scale condominium and retail developments.
From land inspections to ensure solid bedrock on which to grow, to determining where the local Costco should be placed for optimal accessibility and traffic alleviation, designing and planning entire communities is a strong muscle we enjoy flexing – and our development partners would tend to agree.
It began 50 years ago when Donald Soffer arrived in South Florida with a vision and unwavering determination. Acting purely on instinct, Soffer purchased a 785-acre tract of submerged, undeveloped swamp and marshland facing the Intracoastal Waterway in North Dade County. From little more than a sketch on a cocktail napkin, he began building his vision.
He began building Aventura.
Over the next 50 years, Soffer transformed that land into the world-famous Turnberry Isle Yacht, Racquet & Country Club, Aventura Mall, thousands of luxury condominiums such as Atlantic 3 and class “A” office buildings.
Today, Aventura is one of Florida’s most prestigious addresses and bears a strong resemblance to that napkin sketch drawn in 1967.
Known as “The Florida Riviera”, this luxurious multi-phase residential development is nestled on 84 acres in Aventura, Florida.
Williams Island offers an exclusive, private way of life to those accustomed to the finest of things at one of South Florida’s most prestigious addresses.
